You're always in control. Guest mode users can delete
all data instantly from within the app — no account, no request form, no
waiting. Signed-in users can additionally delete their cloud account and
all server-side data from Settings → Account → Delete
Account.
How to Delete Your Data
There are several ways to delete your data from walletOS, depending on
what you want to remove.
Delete a Transaction
Tap any transaction in the app, then tap "delete" in the detail sheet. The transaction is removed immediately.
Delete a Space
Long-press any Space card and select "Remove Space." This removes the budget category but not linked transactions.
Remove an Account
In the Accounts screen, swipe left on any account and tap "Remove." You can choose whether to also delete associated transactions.
Wipe All Local Data
Go to Settings → Data → Wipe All Data to permanently remove every transaction, account, and space from your device at once.
Delete Cloud Account
Signed-in users: go to Settings → Account → Delete Account to permanently remove your account and all cloud-synced data from our servers.
Step-by-Step: Full Data Wipe
To completely erase all walletOS data from your device, follow these steps:

Open walletOS on your device
Launch the app from your Android home screen or app drawer.

Navigate to Settings
Tap the Accounts tab in the bottom navigation, then tap the Settings icon in the top-right corner.

Find the Data section
Scroll down within Settings until you see the Data section heading.
Settings→Data→Wipe All Data

Tap "Wipe All Data"
Tap the "Wipe all data" option. A confirmation prompt will appear to prevent accidental deletion.

Confirm the deletion
Tap "Confirm Wipe" in the dialog. All transactions, accounts, spaces, and settings will be permanently deleted from your device. This action cannot be undone.

Alternatively: Uninstalling walletOS from your Android device will also remove all locally stored app data automatically.
Guest Mode: No Server-Side Data
If you use walletOS without an account (guest mode), we maintain no servers that store your personal data. When you wipe data within the app or uninstall it, there is nothing remaining on our end to delete — because we never had it.
Signed-In Users: Cloud Data Deletion
If you created a walletOS account (email/password or Google Sign-In), your financial data is synced to Supabase cloud servers. Deleting your account from Settings → Account → Delete Account will permanently and irreversibly remove:
· Your account credentials (email, display name)
· All synced transactions, accounts, budgets, and categories
· Your Pro subscription entitlement record (subscription billing is managed separately via Google Play)
Account deletion is processed immediately. Backup copies on Supabase infrastructure are purged within 30 days per their data retention policy.

If you believe we hold any data about you, or if you have any questions about the deletion process, please contact us. We are legally required to respond to verified deletion requests within 30 days under applicable data protection regulations (including GDPR and CCPA where applicable).
